Make a passport-size photo and a printable sheet
Choose a photo, set its exact size, adjust the crop and download a single image or a sheet. SevaSetu processes this passport-photo workflow in your browser, including portrait background removal.
Four steps, with a preview before you download
- Choose a clear photo. Use a recent, front-facing JPG, PNG or WEBP. Start with even lighting and a plain background. The input limit is 25 MB.
- Set the dimensions. Select 35 × 45 mm, 2 × 2 inches or custom millimetres. Drag to position the face, zoom and use auto-fit as a starting point. Compare the result with the instructions for your actual application.
- Review the background. Keep the original or select a colour. Portrait removal runs locally; inspect hair, ears and shoulders before accepting it. Re-take a poorly lit photo when possible.
- Choose your output. Download a single JPG/PNG or a print PDF. For a sheet, select 4 × 6, 5 × 7, A4 or A3 and review the number of copies that physically fit.
Photo dimensions are presets, not a certification of passport or visa acceptance. Rules vary by document and issuing authority. Some applications prohibit digital background changes. Read their current instructions before editing.
Photo size, pixels and print size
Millimetres describe physical print dimensions. Pixels describe the image resolution. At 300 DPI, a 35 × 45 mm photo is approximately 413 × 531 pixels; a 2-inch square is 600 × 600 pixels. A file-size limit such as 50 KB is a separate requirement.
For exact physical print size, use PDF and select Actual size / 100% in the print dialog. Turn off “Fit to page”. Measure one printed copy with a ruler before printing a batch. Browser image downloads can be rescaled by your printer software.
Common questions
Is 35 × 45 mm correct for every Indian application?
No. Different forms and submission routes specify different dimensions, framing and file limits. Use the size shown by your issuing authority, and use custom dimensions when needed.
How many copies fit on a 4 × 6 sheet?
The answer depends on photo size, margins and spacing. The tool calculates capacity from the selected physical dimensions and shows it in the print step. It will not shrink a photo just to squeeze in more copies.
Are my passport photos uploaded?
No. This photo maker crops and processes portraits on your device. Usage counts, if you allow them, contain event names and a random tab session, never your photo or filename. Other optional AI tools in the workspace have their own upload confirmation.
Can this fix a blurred face?
Brightness and colour adjustments cannot recover missing facial detail. Take a sharper photo rather than relying on enhancement to make an unsuitable photo acceptable.
Why did background removal leave an edge?
Fine hair, shadows and a busy background can confuse segmentation. Try a better-lit image or open the advanced editor to inspect and tidy the mask. Always compare with the original.
